We’ve also had conversations as the Ryder Cup committee, multiple conversations about potential captains.” Amidst the growing unease, Waugh’s reassurance reflects confidence in Woods’ commitment.

Despite the desire for clarity on his captaincy decisions, the PGA of America acknowledges Woods’ purposeful approach and respects his commitment. Reflecting on this, Waugh said, “He’s got a lot on his plate right now. He’s very active, obviously, on the tour side of things.
