The first round of the Masters resumed on Friday! With it came golfers such as Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Jason Day, and others, as they could not complete their first rounds on Thursday because of suspended play. As a result of the suspension, the game became harder for Tiger Woods. On Friday, he has to play 20+ holes, and it led to people wondering if he would withdraw because it would lead to some health hazards.
The increased trickiness of Augusta National Golf Course, where the legend is striving for his sixth green jacket with his fragile legs and back, is not making it easier. With the pressure on, it will be difficult for the 48-year-old to focus on his game and manage to move from one hole to another without any difficulty. Woods does not want to face the WD nightmare like he did in the 2023 Masters, and that too when he can avoid unnecessary troubles just by using a cart for easy mobility. But will he do that? No, as he does not seem to like the idea of using the golf cart.
When asked about using golf carts, the 15x major champion straight up said, “On the PGA Tour, no.” The Hall of Famer further added, “On the sanctioned events where it’s allowed? Yes.” Which is the Champions Tour, the PNC, things of that nature?” If the GOAT has refrained from using carts on the regular Tour events, he will not be using them at the Masters! In the first round, he looked healthy, and seemed to walk properly too!

What could create problems for Woods at Augusta?
When asked about the changes he observed on the golf course, Woods explained that there are changes on the Pink Dogwood, Flowering Crab Apple, and Juniper, and they require different approaches now. Even though he is well-versed in the technicalities of the course, such changes will make it harder for the legend to make a shot.

While answering if he felt any particular tilt that might cause harm to his ankle, the PGA Tour veteran smiled. He revealed, “As far as my physicality is concerned, every shot that’s not on a tee box is a challenge.“ TW is surely fighting hard for his next Masters title, but will he get success in his bag? It is to be seen!
