Former LSU star and National Champion Angel Reese is poised for her WNBA debut on Wednesday (May 15) with the Chicago Sky, facing off against the Wings in Dallas. Chicago, aiming to revamp its roster, drafted Reese seventh overall, adding her to their Top 10 pick, South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso. Coach Teresa Weatherspoon expressed satisfaction with their selections, seeing it as a strategic move.
However, a preseason shoulder injury sidelines Cardoso for 3 to 5 weeks. The Wings, meanwhile, bolstered their lineup with Ohio State’s Jacy Sheldon and French guard Carla Leite.
The matchup between the Wings and Sky kicks off at 6 p.m., marking a significant moment for both teams in the new WNBA season.
