The 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 will be his 23rd U.S. Open start since 1995. Woods Jr. is expected to tee off on June 19 at the South Florida Jr. PGA Championship. But before the commencement of the third major of the calendar year, Tiger Woods called in his son to help him prepare for the upcoming U.S. Open, just like he did before the Masters’ final round.

Well, this can go either way, as we have previously seen Woods’s daughter caddying for him. Tiger Woods brought Sam Woods as her caddie for the PNC Championship in December 2023. Wood’s Jr. has been supportive of his father, as he was on his side during the Masters in April and the PGA Championship in May. But Woods Jr. caddying for his father at a tough course like Pinehurst seems to be a very unlikely thing. To come back from his past two major horrors, Tiger Woods will need someone who will bear a lot of experience in reading the greens, just like his present looper, Lance Bennett.

Charlie and his dad were reportedly seen working on bump-and-run shots on Monday, which is a vital part of Woods’s short-game practice. Woods Jr. often assisted by holding a golf club in front of his father as he swung, helping to prevent his arms from flinging too far to the right, a drill Woods used before.
Charlie Woods tried to make his debut on the PGA Tour by trying to qualify for the US Open and Cognizant Classic but could not. Woods Jr. has consistently excelled in competitions, notably when playing alongside his father at the annual PNC Championship. He is instrumental in his father’s practice and caddying for Tiger Woods in the upcoming major can be a good experience for the young golfer, but it seems to be too soon for that!
